Hit Or flop

Kannappa’s budget is ₹200 crore. With worldwide gross of ₹43 – 44 crore, the film has not recovered its investment. The collections are far below expectations. Despite strong production values, the lack of audience traction and sharp drop after the first week hurt its earnings.

At this rate, the film is considered a Flop. Compared to its cost, the return is very low.

Budget

The film was made on an estimated ₹200 crore budget. This includes star fees, grand sets, costumes, visual effects, and promotion.

To be successful, Kannappa needed to earn at least ₹200 crore worldwide. Even after 19 days, it earned only ₹43–44 crore worldwide.

The film’s earnings do not come close to its cost, even with future rights like satellite and digital. Thus, it underperformed financially.
